We have compiled a list of mobile applications that you could download to your phone or device to assist you in understanding and tracking your nutritional behaviors and diet. Through these applications, you could track your macronutrients, learn about the health benefits of the foods you are consuming, and even be inspired to try new foods or cuisines. These mobile applications are also a great intervention for nutritional behaviors. A study that was conducted in Norway found that participants who utilized the mobile app, Appetitus, fulfilled their daily macronutrient and water intake (Aure, 2020). We encourage you to checkout a few of these apps to see if they could positively impact your nutritional health and behaviors.

This app is both free for IOS and Android mobile devices. The app allows you to log and track your food intake as well as your fitness routine.
- MyFitnessPal:
MyFitnessPal is another free app for IOS and Androids and allows you to track your macronutrients. This app focuses on weight loss and is one of the most popular nutritional applications.
- Waterlogged:
Waterlogged is a great educational and tracking app that is free for IOS users. This app allows you to track and visualize your hydration throughout the day and has a feature in which you could set hydration reminders as well.
- Shopwell:
Free for IOS and Android, Shopwell allows you to enter your nutritional goals and requirements and is a helpful tool when going grocery shopping. You can scan barcodes while shopping to get an analysis of the food you are planning on purchasing.
